Transportation Technician

The Transportation Technician is responsible for coordinating and managing transportation operations at both national and international levels, covering maritime and land modalities. Their role is essential to ensure that goods are moved efficiently, complying with regulations and optimizing logistical processes.

Planning and Coordination:

• Organize and plan transportation routes and schedules for both national and international operations.
• Coordinate the allocation of resources and fleets for maritime and land operations.

Documentation Management and Compliance:

• Supervise and manage the necessary documentation for transportation (manifests, waybills, customs documents, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with national and international regulations regarding transportation and customs.

Communication and Monitoring:

• Establish and maintain effective communication with carriers, customs agents, suppliers, and customers.
• Track shipments to ensure timeliness and the proper condition of goods.

Optimization and Reporting:

• Analyze and optimize routes and logistical processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare periodic reports on the performance of transportation operations and present recommendations for improvement.

• Technical or university degree in Logistics, Transportation, International Trade, or related fields.
• Proven experience in managing transportation operations in both maritime and land modalities.
• Knowledge of the applicable national and international regulations and legislation.
• Ability to use IT tools and transportation management systems.
• Intermediate to advanced level of English.
