HVAC Cad Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative CAD Designer to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality design layouts for delivery stations while supporting construction, engineering, and cross-functional partners. You will play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and scalable facility designs that meet both current operational needs and future growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development
Produce detailed CAD drawings for delivery station layouts, including equipment, work spaces, and infrastructure.
Apply current design standards and incorporate upcoming design initiatives into all drawing sets.

• Collaboration
Partner with Design Engineers, fellow CAD Drafters, World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch Execution teams.
Ensure design packages are complete, accurate, and approved on time.

• Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floor plans.
Address and resolve design-related questions in a timely manner.

• Quality Assurance
Participate in design peer reviews and follow established design checklists and standards.
Incorporate feedback from Design Engineers to deliver zero-defect outputs.

• Project Execution
Deliver new designs, post-permit updates, expansions, and retrofit projects for delivery stations.
Contribute to improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and operational capacity.

• Process Improvement
~ Apply new design templates, safety protocols, and process enhancements to standard drafting practices.

Qualifications

Experience:

~1–3 years of experience with Revit
~1–3 years of project coordination experience
~1–3 years of experience in facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural drafting
~

Experience with AutoCAD is a strong bonus

Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD Architecture within a design, civil, construction, or architectural environment
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Bluebeam

Education:

~ Associate's Degree in a relevant field (Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or similar)

Soft Skills:

Strong project management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing priorities
Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate design discussions
