SIX Predoctoral Contracts at the IAC - PS-  The IAC (Tenerife, Spain) invites applications for  SIX PhD fellowships in Astrophysics.
The research topics at the IAC include Solar Physics, Planetary Systems, Stellar and Interstellar Physics, Galaxy Formation and Evolution, Milky Way, Cosmology, and Astroparticle Physics. The institute also has an active instrumentation programme. The IAC has been designated a “Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence” by the Spanish Government. Successful candidates will work at the IAC headquarters in La Laguna, Tenerife, within a stimulating research environment. They will join one of the IAC's research groups and work towards obtaining a PhD.
This call includes an incorporation aid, which covers: a plane ticket (organized by the IAC), a two-week stay, and a per diem, with a maximum total of 2,500 Euros.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering that satisfies the admission requirements of the University of La Laguna (ULL) PhD Programme in astrophysics. Applicants must register in this programme. The requirements are met by MSc holders or students with an undergraduate degree having at least 300 credits (ETCs), including at least 60 credits from an MSc. The candidates must meet the admission requirements by the call deadline.
Applicants can demonstrate eligibility by submitting an academic certification showing successful completion of the required credits, along with proof of payment for the degree issuance.
Degrees issued outside Spain but within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) must be accompanied by a certified translation into Spanish or English. Degrees outside the EHEA require a certified translation and an equivalence or accreditation certificate. The accreditation process must be initiated; failure to obtain approval may lead to contract termination.
The degree score must be 7.0 or higher on a 10-point scale, or 7.5 for bachelor’s plus master’s degrees.
The required undergraduate or MSc degree for registration in the ULL PhD Programme must have been obtained on or after January 31, 2022.
