Otis is seeking an experienced, dynamic and Hands on Regional Director of Quality (M/F) to lead Quality and Continuous Improvement across EMEA manufacturing sites.
This is a strategic leadership role where you will drive quality excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across a complex, multinational matrix organization.
Your leadership will directly influence product quality, operational performance, and the overall customer experience
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute the regional quality strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead Quality & Continuous Improvement teams across EMEA plants and EPC
- Drive customer satisfaction improvements and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Act as primary escalation point for key customer quality issues
- Lead site audits, assessments, and quality system deployment
- Ensure consistency in quality standards, processes, and best practices across sites
- Oversee ISO certifications and core quality documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, SWIs)
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives and continuous improvement programs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Product Management
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing, diverse quality teams
- 8+ years in quality, engineering, or operations roles in industrial/manufacturing environments
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in international/matrix organizations
- Strong experience in quality management systems and compliance
- Proven track record in continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma projects
- Deep knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis)
- Experience with mechanical assembly and electronic systems
- Familiarity with IATF/VDA standards and certifications (preferred)
- Six Sigma Black Belt (advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead through influence and change in complex environments
- Passion for team development, inclusion, and customer excellence
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or MBA preferred
- Six Sigma certification is an extra
- Any official auditor certification for the Quality systems is desireable
