Job Purpose Through in-field scientific engagement with healthcare providers and external experts in respiratory diseases, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) fosters a more educated healthcare environment by communicating deep knowledge of GSK data in biologic therapies, gathering insights on GSK products and services, and informing medical strategy.
Key Responsibilities Engage in one-to-one scientific dialogue with external experts and healthcare professionals around GSK’s biologic therapies in respiratory diseases, supporting scientific exchange, partnerships, and clinical research.
Act as an expert speaker at scientific events, disseminating information to healthcare providers and stimulating clinical dialogue to gather diverse perspectives.
Serve as the interface between the professional healthcare community and GSK’s internal medical team, capturing and using medical insights to inform GSK Medical, Commercial, and R&D activities.
Respond to unsolicited requests for Medical Information from healthcare providers in a fair, factual, balanced, and scientifically rigorous manner.
Collaborate with matrix colleagues (sales, marketing, market access, etc.) to ensure strategies and business plans are patient- and business-focused, and contribute to launch plans from a medical perspective.
Provide scientific education and training for business partners such as Medical Representatives, maintaining expertise in the evolving therapeutic area and competitor medicines.
Attend scientific meetings and congresses to stay abreast of evolving science, confidently debate and discuss scientific developments, and identify key messages and opportunities to improve medical strategy.
Knowledge, Education, and Previous Experience Required Higher degree in life sciences (PhD, MSc, or equivalent).
Other professional healthcare provision qualification with experience (e.g., nurse practitioner, physician, surgeon, physiotherapist, or pharmacist).
At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs working with biologic treatments.
Strong academic background, having participated in or led research projects and authored publications.
Solid experience as MSL or related positions in medical affairs at the product launch stage.
Demonstrable experience in scientific engagement with external experts (KOLs) and managing long-term relationships in respiratory diseases or related areas.
Residence in Cataluña.
Salary & Benefits Spanish Salary Range / Rango salarial en España: EUR 69,675 to EUR 116,125. The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location. In addition, this position may offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in a share‑based long‑term incentive program. Detailed information on the total benefits package will be supplied during the recruitment process.
