How we see you  As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of client entities, primarily consisting of Spanish legal entities, many of which form part of complex international group structures. You will act as the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring high-quality financial management, and compliance support.
You will operate as part of a small, close-knit local accounting team in Madrid (2 professionals), within a broader office environment in Madrid. In this setting, you are expected to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating ownership, accountability, and a hands-on approach.
At the same time, you will be closely integrated into our wider global accounting team. This provides you with access to international expertise, standardized processes, and cross-border collaboration, enabling you to deliver consistent and high-quality services to clients with multinational operations.
The role requires a professional who is comfortable balancing local execution with global alignment, capable of navigating international structures, and motivated to contribute both to the development of the Madrid office and to the wider general team.
Your key tasks and responsibilities   Manage a dedicated portfolio of client entities, primarily Spanish legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial administration.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing financial insights and support.
Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in accordance with Spanish GAAP and relevant regulations.
Ensure full compliance with local tax (WTH, VAT, and CIT), accounting, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with external advisors where needed.
Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for client entities.
Coordinate and support audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring smooth delivery of audit requirements.
Manage and review bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting performed within the local Madrid team.
Collaborate with international stakeholders and global accounting teams to align on group reporting requirements and deadlines.
Identify process improvements and contribute to the development of efficient, standardized workflows within the local and global teams.
Support the growth and development of the Madrid office by contributing to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and potential onboarding of new clients.
What we like to see   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance; a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or Spanish equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management, ideally within an international or professional services environment.
