The Accounting Junior Associate supports the Accounting Manager in executing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data, and contributing to the department’s process improvement and automation initiatives.

We are looking for a person to join a full‑time position in  Madrid – IE Tower.

Your role as a Accounting Junior Associate will involve

Assist in the daily operations of general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.

Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Support the month‑end and year‑end closing processes across the organization.

Review and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure compliance with local (Spanish GAAP/PGC) and international accounting regulations.

Prepare and maintain financial reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Contribute to process improvements and the automation of administrative and accounting tasks.

Address internal queries and provide accounting‑related support to other departments.

Participate in internal projects and cross‑functional initiatives as required.

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.

1–3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance position.

Knowledge of accounting principles under Spanish GAAP (PGC); exposure to US GAAP or IFRS is a plus.

Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI is valued.

Prior experience in an audit or accounting role at a Big Four firm is a plus.

Experience and willingness to learn and apply AI‑driven tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) in administrative and accounting processes.

Strong written and spoken English;
Spanish proficiency required.
