Site Quality Officer

, the Senior Quality Officer is responsible for controlling and managing fruit quality reporting across Zespri’s European hubs. This role ensures that third‑party logistics (3PL) providers comply with Zespri’s quality standards through systematic auditing and reporting. The position also provides guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders on all quality‑related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Control the discharge audits in Zeebrugge to monitor fruit quality during unloading, based on predefined parameters and prepare and submit detailed audit and discharge reports.
• Evaluate 3PL compliance with quality processes through regular audits and performance reporting.
• Prepare and monitor the Supplier Accountability Audits to ensure we are well prepared for upcoming SA Audits and monitor the audits, based on predefined parameters.
• Provide insights on insurance claim inspections, communicate findings, and follow up with the operations quality teams in case of claims.
• Provide necessary documentation and information to 3PL partners to meet agreed quality standards.
• Deliver training sessions and maintain accessible quality documentation for internal teams and 3PL partners.
• Support sampling and support trials for the Compliance Department, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Monitor and report quality performance within the team, highlighting non‑compliance and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Operations & Logistics Manager/Lead and act as backup for team members during absences.
• Control and set PPS settings and train and liaise with colleague in Zeebrugge.
• Set SA tar getting in SAP prior to the upload of the vessel manifest.

We are looking for an independent team player who will be based in Tarragona, Spain
. You must meet the following criteria:

• Proficient in both Spanish and English to communicate between offices.
• Experience with quality standards and auditing in the fruit industry or international production environments is preferred.
• Solid understanding of product quality within the supply chain and its impact on operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
