Job Description

As part of our continued growth strategy, we are looking for a
Senior RPG Developer
to strengthen our team specialized in IBM i (AS/400) environments, contributing to the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of business‑critical applications for our clients.
- Develop and maintain applications in IBM i (AS/400) environments.
- Perform functional and technical analysis of business requirements.
- Manage and optimize SQL queries and processes in DB2 databases.
- Design, develop, and test RPG programs.
- Develop and maintain both batch and interactive processes.
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide support for production applications.
- Participate in technology evolution initiatives and legacy application modernization projects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with functional analysts, business stakeholders, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in AS/400 system administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of RPG, COBOL, and CL programming languages.
- Experience with AS/400 tools and utilities (e.g., iSeries Navigator, Query/400).
- Knowledge of DB2 databases.
- Familiarity with networking, storage, and virtualization concepts in AS/400 environments.
- Query/400.
- iSeries Navigator.
- Web Services and APIs on IBM i.
- Version control tools.
- Functional knowledge of banking, insurance, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
- Spanish:
Native or bilingual proficiency. - English:
Intermediate to upper‑intermediate level (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks.
- Capability to work in complex environments and on mission‑critical systems.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
