Intermediate Fullstack Engineer – Data Products
Data Products integrates Git Lab and third‑party software development lifecycle data, building dashboards, APIs, and data products that transform it into reliable, interoperable intelligence for customers and internal teams.
An Overview of this RoleYou’ll work across the stack, contributing to frontend experiences, backend services, APIs, and AI‑enabled workflows.
What You’ll Do- Develop well‑scoped features for ingesting, modeling, and syncing data into the knowledge graph, ensuring data freshness, sync reliability, and graph coverage.
- Build integrations with external systems (Jira, observability tools, Zendesk, Service Now) to increase indexed business context and meet data completeness/freshness goals.
- Build features for Software Engineering Intelligence dashboards (DORA, value‑stream reporting, Git Lab Duo, etc.) to provide accurate, performant metrics across organizations.
- Contribute to design discussions, technical direction, and assistance from senior engineers to deliver secure, reliable, and performant solutions on schedule.
- Raise blockers and risks early, work with senior engineers to keep milestones on track.
- Participate in design and code reviews, applying feedback to improve code quality and delivery velocity.
- Build deep understanding of system data model and platform to ship changes independently and resolve issues faster.
- Production experience building and operating full‑stack applications.
- Full‑stack proficiency with Go
, Ruby
, and Node
. - Experience with OLAP data platforms (e.g., Click House) including data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands‑on experience building AI‑powered product features.
- Experience operating multi‑tenant SaaS and self‑managed applications.
- High velocity with sound judgment and strong written communication, able to decompose complex initiatives into shippable milestones.
- Experience building third‑party or API integrations.
- Dashboard & Reporting Framework – Builds AI‑native dashboard components for engineering health, DORA, value‑stream reporting, AI impact, lifecycle trends, security, and quality.
- Internal Ingestion – Ingests third‑party data into Git Lab, powers the knowledge graph, and builds integrations for a near‑real‑time graph of the developer ecosystem.
- External Ingestion – Exposes Git Lab and knowledge graph data through APIs, SDKs, marketplace listings, and partner products.
This role is fully remote and available worldwide.
