We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Backend Engineer to join ING.

• Design, develop and test the code that shapes the components of the application, ensuring functionality, quality and performance.
• Deliver in Production a working software by applying best development practices, including documentation and parameters to reach goals. Support Production by analyzing and fixing bugs. Contribute to improving technical discipline by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• As an expert in the Backend area, contribute value on the technical layer while considering the rest of the stack as part of the Squad responsibilities.

• Good coding skills on the Middleware layer:
  Java 8/11/17
• Spring (Boot, MVC, CORE, Security, Dependency Injection)
• Microservices:
  Hexagonal architecture;
  Patterns (Circuit Breaker, Api Gateway, Service Discovery);
  Feature Flags
• Design Patterns, SOLID, Clean Code, Software Craftsmanship
• Back End & Dev Ops awareness (understand the global architecture / infrastructure)
• Testing:
  Unit, integration and smoke testing; JUnit;
  Contract Testing;
  Framework mocks (Mockito, Mock Mvc, Wire Mock, Power Mock)
• Maven
• Containers and orchestration:
  Docker, Open Shift or Kubernetes
• Ansible
• Git
• DDD
• CI/CD pipelines
• Dev Ops skills
• Azure (Pipelines)
• 5 years of experience on a similar tech stack
• Agile experience with SCRUM, Kanban or XP
• Excellent spoken and written English
