ROLESUMMARY:
The British School of Madrid is seeking a passionate and skilled Secondary Physics Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3, 4 (English National Curriculum) and Key Stage 5 (Bilingual Baccalaureate – BiBac®). The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching, support students’ academic and personal development, and contribute to maintaining the school’s Outstanding BSO status.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Plan and deliver well‑structured, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge across KS3–KS5.
- Promote excellent progress and outcomes for all learners.
- Use assessment effectively to inform planning and provide feedback.
- Adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs and ensure inclusion.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a safe, positive learning environment.
- Act as a form tutor, ensuring excellent pastoral care and communication with families.
- Enrich the Physics curriculum through practical, real‑world learning experiences.
- Contribute to wider school responsibilities and uphold professional expectations.
- Completed teacher training with relevant experience in a UK, international or bilingual school.
- Recent and relevant professional development in Teaching & Learning.
- Strong classroom management, differentiation skills and understanding of assessment.
- Excellent subject knowledge in Physics and ability to deliver high‑quality lessons.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a closely related field plus PGCE/QTS (or equivalent).
- English at first‑language or equivalent proficiency; willingness to learn Spanish progressively.
