ROLE SUMMARY
King’s College, Soto de Viñuelas, the flagship British international school of the King’s Group, was founded in 1969 and is recognised for its academic excellence and inclusive ethos. We seek an experienced and inspirational Head of Secondary to lead our vibrant 11–18 section from August 2026, guiding both students and staff in delivering the British National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary educational leader to shape teaching, learning, and pastoral excellence within a well‑established international context.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the Secondary School (Years 7–13).
Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, achievement, and wellbeing across the curriculum.
Lead, develop, and motivate a team of teachers and middle leaders to foster professional growth and collaboration.
Oversee curriculum design, quality assurance, and assessment in line with UK and IB frameworks.
Support effective communication and partnerships with parents, staff, and the wider school community.
Contribute to the school’s strategic development and play an active role in whole‑school improvement initiatives.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
A degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
Substantial experience in educational leadership within a British curriculum international school.
Proven success in improving academic standards and staff development.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
A commitment to fostering a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Fluency in English (heritage speaker or C2 proficiency on the CEFR).
