About the RoleAs a Teacher of English at TEMS, you will inspire students across KS3 and KS4, and potentially KS5, by delivering engaging and innovative lessons that foster curiosity and confidence. You will model outstanding teaching practice, track student progress using data and assessments, and maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to collaborative curriculum planning, support intervention programmes, and help shape the vision for English Literature within the faculty. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to take on additional responsibility as a Key Stage Leader. You will also play an active role in pastoral care as a tutor, supporting students’ character development and wellbeing.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a proposed September 2026 start date.
Who We Are Looking ForYou are an enthusiastic and skilled teacher with a strong academic background and a genuine love for working with young people. You have excellent organisational and communication skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and bring creativity, optimism, and resilience to your work. You hold a relevant degree with QTS or international equivalent, have experience teaching KS3 and KS4, and ideally some knowledge of KS4 Literature.
