About the RoleThe British School of Madrid is offering an exciting Care Assistant Internship for students or recent graduates who are passionate about working with children in an international school environment. This role provides valuable hands‑on experience supporting pupils’ wellbeing, development, and daily care within a safe and stimulating setting.
As a Care Assistant Intern, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support children’s practical, emotional, and developmental needs throughout the school day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assisting children with practical daily tasks and routines
- Observing and monitoring children’s needs and development
- Supporting and supervising activities in a safe, engaging environment
- Encouraging children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Monitoring changes in children’s health and wellbeing, including emotional and mental health, and reporting any concerns
- Liaising with parents, teachers, and relevant staff to ensure pupils’ needs are met
- Contributing to a positive, caring, and inclusive school environment
- Undertaking required training to support professional development and safeguarding standards
- University studies related to Education, Childcare, Psychology, Health, or a similar field
- A caring, responsible, and patient approach to working with children
- The ability to act as a positive role model within the school community
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate level of Spanish (English required; bilingual candidates preferred)
- A genuine interest in child development and wellbeing
- A formal internship agreement must be in place between Inspired Education Group and the candidate’s university or educational institution
- Studies must be related to the internship
