Teacher of Science - IGCSE and A Level Physics

The successful candidate will be passionate about Science & Physics and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils at all levels.

Responsibilities

Teach Cambridge IGCSE Co‑ordinated Sciences (Double Award), separate IGCSE Physics and A Level Physics.

Engage and motivate pupils using effective teaching and differentiation techniques.

Collaborate with colleagues on planning and resourcing.

Set high expectations of pupils’ effort and behaviour and manage classrooms effectively.

Qualifications

Good honours degree from a British university.

PGCE or other equivalent teacher qualification with Physics subject specialism.

Native level English speaker.

Excellent teamwork skills and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.

Motivated and proactive in contributing to department success.

High expectations of pupils’ behaviour and effort, proven classroom management skills.

Preferred but not essential

Previous experience at an independent or international school.

Recent teaching experience at a school in the UK.
