Overview  Brewster Madrid is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our team as Dean of Lower School at our La Moraleja campus. This is more than a traditional divisional leadership role. It is a rare opportunity to help design, build, and lead an innovative Lower School program within one of Madrid's most forward-thinking international schools.

The Dean of Lower School will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our youngest learners while helping to define what an exceptional education can be. Working closely with school leadership, faculty, students, and families, they will lead curriculum development, faculty growth, community engagement, and strategic planning within a dynamic and rapidly growing school environment.
Main Responsibilities   Lead the vision, growth, and strategic development of the Lower School division.
Build and nurture a thriving learning community grounded in wellbeing and student-centered learning.
Partner with faculty to design and implement an engaging, inquiry-driven curriculum.
Mentor and inspire teachers through professional learning and instructional leadership.
Foster strong relationships with learners, families, and the wider school community.
Help shape the systems, culture, and structures of a growing international school.
Collaborate with colleagues across divisions to ensure a seamless and coherent student experience from Early Years through Upper School.
Serve as a key member of the school's leadership team, contributing to strategic initiatives and long-term institutional growth.
This role is adecuado for an educator who enjoys both visionary thinking and hands‑on leadership. Someone who is equally comfortable developing strategy, leading curriculum, coaching teachers, engaging with learners and families, and supporting day‑to‑day school operations.
Qualifications   Bachelor's degree or higher in Education (Master's degree preferred).
Successful teaching experience in Lower School settings.
Previous Lower School leadership experience.
Fluency in English;
Spanish preferable.

Experience with inquiry-based learning and curriculum development.
Knowledge of international school environments and accreditation processes.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience coaching teachers and leading professional learning initiatives.
