The school operates on a large campus with many new and developing facilities and has experienced significant growth in recent years.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of Infants to lead the Infants department and school provision in Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception. This is a maternity cover position. The successful candidate will be an experienced Infants practitioner with a strong background in the EYFS, Development Matters and IEYC curricula. Working closely with the Head of Primary, the post holder will provide strong educational leadership to ensure consistently high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral care.

• Lead and develop the Infants department, including Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception.
• Ensure consistently high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral care across the Infants section.
• Inspire, lead and develop teachers and learning assistants.
• Contribute to the direction and development of the Infants programme as part of the primary team.
• Support the school’s after-school programme and participate in events and activities throughout the year.
• Promote child-centred education with high levels of pastoral care and an inclusive approach.
• Raise attainment across all ability levels and support students from a range of backgrounds and with varying needs.

• Experienced Infants practitioner with a strong background in the EYFS, Development Matters and IEYC curricula.
• Proven ability to inspire, lead and develop teaching staff.
• Strong commitment to educating the whole child and delivering high levels of pastoral care.
• Evidence of being a strong team player with the ability to adapt quickly to new situations and demonstrate a flexible approach to problem solving.
• Interest in raising attainment across all ability levels.
• Commitment to the life of the school through participation in the after-school programme and wider events.
