German Games Linguist

The German Game Linguist role is to translate from English into German in game content. This role requires excellent language skills, creativity, and a passion for Games.

This position is In-house working on a client specific project expected to last 4 months (February-June), with potential for longer commitment. The role requires working at our Keywords office for the full duration of the project. Our office is located at

C. de Julián Camarillo, 6A, 3ºB, San Blas-Canillejas, 28037 Madrid, Spain. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team focusing on in-game content for a leading games publisher!

• Translate in-game content from English to German to a high-quality standard.
• Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved.
• Collaborate with other linguists on the project to maintain consistency and quality across translations.

• Native level German speaker.
• Passion for the games industry.
• Educational qualification in linguistics or a related field.
• Experience in translation, copywriting, or linguistics.
• Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills in both German and English.
• Good PC knowledge, including familiarity with MS Office products.
• Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CAT tool software, (e.g., Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ) is an advantage.
