As Sales
- Trade & Working Capital Transaction Banking Director , you will work closely with the Head of Trade Sales for Europe by leading the Trade & WCS Sales team in Spain.
In this role you will need a strategic mindset to identify and capture growth opportunities, strong management skills to lead the team, and solid commercial acumen to proactively originate, structure and execute Trade and Working Capital Solutions with a global mindset and also embedding our offering in the context of strategic transactions M&A, Project Finance and Leverage Finance.
A Sales and Management background with ability to advise clients to optimally implement working capital solutions and position Trade among the senior stakeholders within SCIB will be key. Getting the most of a team of 14 would be key to keeping Santander as the clear leader in the region.
WHAT YOU’LL BRINGWe’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- defining, executing, and monitoring Santander’s Trade and Working Capital origination strategy and core growth initiatives linked to Investment Banking transactions.
- managing a team of 14 successful dedicated professionals.
- identifying and capturing growth opportunities ensuring successful implementation across Santander footprint.
- providing advise as to the optimal Working Capital solutions structures considering client’s overall capital structure, business plan and projections.
- originating and structuring Trade and Working Capital solutions in the context of M&A, Project Finance and Leverage Finance transactions.
- Minimum +10 years of experience (Required)
- Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Structured Finance, Markets or Relationship Management in the Corporate & Investment Banking of a Bank with an international background (Required)
- Corporate Treasurer, Risk Management, Consultancy or legal background is also considered.
- Bachelor’s degree with preference on Business Administration, Engineering, Law or Economics (Required)
- MBA or CFA will be valued (Preferred)
- Experience in front office of an Investment Bank, or an equivalent origination position exposed to clients in a corporate, law firms or consultancy firm (Required)
- Structuring background in Investment Banking products (Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, Markets, Project Finance, etc.) (Required)
- Proven ability to independently lead high performance teams.
- Proven ability to define commercial strategy and agile monitoring until successful execution.
- Financial and Risk analysis (Preferred)
- A growth-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Self-motivation and “can-do” attitude to drive initiatives and projects
- Leadership and communication skills
- Ability to deliver in highly demanding environments
