Banks and fintech are reshaping financial landscapes. Embat is a fast‑growing Fin Tech scale‑up based in Spain, building Embat One – a banking infrastructure that bridges traditional banking with digital operations. Our mission is to provide a financial operating system for mid‑market and enterprise companies.

We are building a small, high‑impact team with access to top‑tier clients and a strong investor base. Embat One’s banking operations and engineering teams work closely with customers to design the next generation of banking services.

We want an intern that will join Embat One’s Banking team. You will be thrown into day‑to‑day operations and will have real impact from day one.

• Process automation & improvement: identify bottlenecks in banking operations and design / build automation to solve them.
• Banking strategy: participate in conversations that shape Embat One’s direction.
• Direct link with GTM: bridge the Banking team and Go‑to‑Market, translating technical capabilities into value propositions for clients.
• Direct client contact: support activation and onboarding of real clients.
• High‑level conversations with the Banking team: sit at the same table as the senior team.

• Month 1:
  Understand Embat One’s end‑to‑end operation and its integration with Airwallex, and get close to the Banking team’s operational processes.
• Mid‑internship (3 months):
  Identify and resolve at least one real operational bottleneck while actively participating in strategy and GTM conversations.
• End of internship (6 months):
  Become a trusted member of the Banking team, with full visibility into the business and, if a fit on both sides, a potential offer to join full‑time.

• Currently studying (or have just finished) a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or similar.
• Interested in fintech, banking or payments – prior experience not required, but genuine curiosity is a must.
• Resourceful: if something’s broken, you fix it instead of reporting it and waiting.
• Strong Spanish & English (we work with international clients).

We’d also love it if you bring:

• Solid Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Some knowledge of SQL or automation (not a deal breaker).
