For our Real Estate Finance International business area based in Madrid, we are currently seeking to hire, with immediate effect, a

• Preparing and presenting, or supporting the preparation and presentation of, financing proposals for existing and prospective clients in the Spanish real estate market.
• Expanding the bank’s client base in the Spanish market.
• Conducting the initial analysis of potential financing opportunities, identifying key risks and appropriate mitigants, and contributing to deal teams presenting opportunities to the Bank’s relevant committees and boards.
• Preparing detailed financial models and analyses required for real estate financings, including:
  Cash flow modelling and sensitivity analyses; IRR calculations; debt structuring, tenant and lease analysis, accounting and tax considerations
• Supporting the deal team throughout the transaction process, including participation in internal and external meetings, coordination and follow-up of action points, responding to client requests, and assisting with the preparation of internal memos and committee proposals.
• Assisting with the preparation and negotiation of term sheets and other transaction documentation, as required.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients and other relevant market participants.
• Contributing to the development of new business opportunities, ideas and products by researching potential clients and market developments, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Contributing to the achievement of agreed origination targets and supporting the growth of the Bank’s real estate financing business in Spain (and potentially Portugal).
• Origination responsibility for new transactions with both new and existing clients, in particular within the hospitality and serviced living sectors (e.g. PBSA).
• For important transactions acting as deputy on assigned transactions, depending on the size and complexity of the deal, and taking responsibility for specific aspects of the transaction.

• Education
  :
  Relevant university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or a comparable discipline.
• Level of expertise/experience
  :
  Previous experience in an active real estate lending environment (bank or debt fund), real estate investment, corporate finance, structured finance or investment banking is desirable. Strong financial modelling skills and a sound understanding of the Spanish real estate market are highly valued.
• Technical knowledge: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a good understanding of the Commercial Real Estate market. Ability to quickly develop and apply financial modelling and due diligence skills, as well as to learn and effectively use internal business tools and models. Commitment to continuously developing knowledge and experience in real estate, real estate financing and structuring, and the Bank’s operations.
  
  The role will include an individual origination target and therefore requires a strong commercial mindset and business development focus. Good team player, committed to fostering a positive and collaborative team spirit.
• Relevant sector experience
  :
  Experience in financing or investing in specialised real estate sectors, particularly hotels and operational living (e.g. PBSA, flex), would be considered a strong advantage.
