International Plant Manager - Energy

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for leading a complex industrial energy facility.
• Drive plant performance, operational readiness, and team capability.

International company operating within the water, biogas and biomethane sectors, focused on the development, ownership and operation of sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy assets. The company manages and develops facilities across multiple regions, including the Nordics and Southern Europe, with a strong commitment to environmental performance, operational excellence and the energy transition.

• Lead and manage end-to-end plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant performance across all production processes and utilities.
• Oversee commissioning, start-up, and ramp-up activities, ensuring a controlled transition into stable and optimised commercial operations.
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring KPIs, analysing plant performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to maximise output and efficiency.
• Define and enforce maintenance strategies, coordinating preventive and corrective activities to ensure high asset reliability and minimal downtime.
• Establish strong operational frameworks including procedures, reporting, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Build, lead, and develop on-site teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, and capability development.
• Manage site budgets, resources, and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Experience with in the biogas, biomethane, renewable gas, water treatment, wastewater treatment, environmental services, energy, industrial utilities, or related process industries will be highly valued.
• Strong track record of operational leadership with accountability for plant performance, cost control, and delivery against production targets.
• Availability to travel internationally and relocate, when required, to company sites across different regions, including the Nordics and Southern Europe.
