ACCIONA is a global leader in sustainable, regenerative infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead – Design to play a pivotal role in shaping high‑impact water treatment solutions across major water infrastructure programs in Australia.

As the Delivery Lead – Design
, you will oversee the full lifecycle of design delivery for significant water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This senior role ensures the integration of innovative, energy‑efficient treatment solutions—targeting substantial performance improvements—while maintaining design quality, safety, and compliance throughout all project phases.

You will act as the primary design interface across ACCIONA Agua, engineering teams, procurement, construction, and regulatory stakeholders. This position is critical to ensuring technical excellence, value engineering, and the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects.

• Lead the design delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, environmental requirements, and project objectives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage all design interfaces.
• Drive innovation, value engineering, and sustainable design outcomes.
• Resolve complex technical issues and maintain design integrity across all phases.
• Support procurement readiness, construction integration, and stakeholder engagement.

• Demonstrated design leadership in major water/wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong technical expertise in advanced treatment processes and energy‑efficient systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to resolve design issues and optimise project outcomes.
• Skilled in value engineering and delivering efficient, innovative solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• 5+ years’ experience in senior technical roles within water or wastewater infrastructure.
• Proven experience delivering WRRFs, treatment plants, or large network upgrades.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and design governance.
