The Water Consultancy Division is Mott Mac Donald’s centre of excellence for responding to water and wastewater challenges, offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work. The Asset Management and Infrastructure Planning team is one of five sub-sectors within our Water Consultancy Division, which employs around 600 people across the UK. We work in the water sector and with other infrastructure providers both in the UK and internationally in the following areas:

• Wastewater and bioresources investment planning
• Strategic asset management and business planning
• Technical assurance of operational performance and business cases
• Carbon and net zero appraisal and strategic planning
• Integrated systems management
• Data analytics and decision support tools

Our clients are facing significant challenges from climate change, population growth and ageing assets. Their customers expect increasing service levels and less impact on the environment at lower cost. Asset management is key to overcoming these challenges and therefore we are growing our team in this area.

We are looking for motivated professionals, with at least 5 years of asset management experience preferably in the water sector, to join our team based in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a desire for a long-term career in asset management, becoming a Member of the Institute of Asset Management and managing their own projects.

• Supporting or leading the delivery of asset management advisory projects
• Writing business cases for clients
• Supporting asset management capability assessments and identifying areas for improvement
• Drafting proposals
• Data analysis to support project delivery
• Writing client reports
• Project and budget management
• Mentoring junior members of the team
