Our activities include partnering with customers to develop new products, supporting clinical effectiveness, supplying R&D‑scale and stand‑alone production equipment, and installing complete integrated production lines.
- Independently test & validate pharmaceutical equipment including granulation (RMG (PMA), fluid bed dryer/processor, end product handling) and material handling equipment such as blenders, lifters and Buck systems with electrical control panels that include PLC and HMI/IPC software.
- Apply a high level of expertise, achieving 90‑95 % success in testing and validation.
- Understand and review P& and general arrangement during testing and verification.
- Maintain strong process knowledge and control panel design comprehension, including components list, loop drawing, cable schedule and tubing schedule.
- Interpret instrument schedules, device configuration lists and maintain review records.
- Integrate software and hardware design, review functional design specifications (FDS) and execute FAT protocols.
- Perform vendor FAT for electrical control panels and process peripheral equipment such as WIP/CIP skids, AHU, blower and scrubber.
- Coordinate with project, workshop and electrical/mechanical teams during assembly, testing, and dispatch of machines.
- Respond independently to technical issues and resolve them.
- Document test procedures and maintain as‑built documents.
- Ensure equipment testing is completed within timelines and prior to customer FAT.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors for in‑house test equipment.
- Conduct equipment FAT in front of customers.
- Apply knowledge of safety loops, ATEX, CE, UL and 21 CFR part 11.
- Be available for site commissioning and independently perform operational qualification in front of customers.
- Preferably possess a background in pharmaceuticals.
- Handle cybersecurity principles, including the Cyber Resilience Act.
- Work safely in industrial environments.
- Electrical control panel design, review of single line diagrams and safety loops, including contractors, relays, MPCB, MCB, MCCB and field components such as motors and valves.
- Proficiency with Siemens Platform and TIA Portal (V12‑V21), Simatic Manager and PLCs (S7‑300/S7‑1200/1500) and HMI software (WinCC variants).
- Knowledge of VFDs such as Danfoss and ABB with parameter configuration.
- Pneumatic circuit design, reviewing manifolds, pressure switches and FRLs.
- Field instruments: temperature sensors (RTD/Thermocouple), differential pressure switch & transmitter, flow transmitter, conductivity transmitter, pressure transmitter and encoders.
- Integration and testing of third‑party equipment with the GEA control system.
- Pharmaceutical regulatory standards: CE, UL, ATEX, USFDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP/GAMP/GxP and BS standards.
- Cybersecurity awareness aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act.
- Coordinate with automation, electrical, project and workshop assembly teams.
- Engage with external vendors and customers.
- Approach work individually and collaboratively with an optimistic, solution‑oriented agile mindset.
- Graduate Engineering in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronics or related discipline.
- 4‑5 years of industrial automation and controls engineering experience, with at least 3 years of relevant practice.
- Combination of software and hardware design expertise.
- Knowledge of Rockwell (Allen Bradley PLC and HMI) software programming is an advantage.
