The purpose of this process is to select, through internal promotion, a candidate to fill the position of Head of SEIC (Support in the execution of clinical research) within the Clinical Research and Clinical Trials Unit of IIS Bio Bizkaia.
- Coordinate and manage the SEIC sub-unit team in the execution of clinical trials and studies, ensuring compliance with deadlines and facilitating communication between those involved in the research.
- Advise the different research groups on the planning and execution of studies, facilitate coordination between the UIC EECC and healthcare units, and provide support in resolving incidents during the development of studies.
- Plan and distribute workloads, identify staff training needs and supervise the efficient use of the SEIC sub-unit's resources and tools.
- Collaborate in the preparation of budgets and in the financial monitoring of studies and control of associated income.
- Participate in the creation of a better strategy, propose improvements in processes and tools, and promote initiatives that strengthen the IIS's capacity for clinical research.
- Represent the unit, prepare activity reports, and promote relationships with research units and groups.
- University degree in areas related to research (biology, biochemistry, pharmacy or other related disciplines).
- Master's degree related to the duties of the position.
- Proven knowledge of English at B2 level.
- Be employed by IIS Biobizkaia for at least 5 years at the time of application.

The employee must comply with the center's operating rules in terms of dedication, duties, working hours, and vacations. Candidates for this position will be included in a Job Pool that may be considered for future project requirements
Eligibility criteria- Assessment of qualifications, specific training in clinical research, study management, specific national and European clinical trial regulations, good clinical practices and accredited courses. (0–20)
- Previous experience in research units, clinical trial support, observational studies or clinical project management. (0–15)
- Demonstrable experience in task assignment and coordination, team leadership, and effective operational supervision. (0–15)
- Direct experience in the management, coordination, monitoring, and execution of clinical trials in clinical research settings. (0–20)
- Experience in budgeting and economic‑financial management of a research support platform. (0‑10)
- Proven knowledge and application of clinical trial regulations and procedures at national and European level. (0‑10)
- Assessment of cross‑cutting skills necessary for the efficient management of the SEIC unit. (0–5)
- Certificate of disability minimum 33% (0‑5)
