General requirements
The candidate should hold a PhD degree in physics, chemistry or materials science, with a strong expertise in functional conjugated organic materials for optoelectronics a/o energy conversion, advanced steady-state time resolved (polarized, low-temperature) absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy, and a good knowledge in the use of density functional theory calculations of these materials.
We are looking for a candidate for a Postdoctoral position to carry out the following functions:
- Research in the photophysics of conjugated organic materials
- Develop his/her own research line within the general subject
- Co-supervise PhD and MSc students
- Writing of research papers & proposals
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
PhD degree in physics, chemistry or materials science. - Communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and adaptability to handle multiple tasks.
- Independent, proactive thinking, working and writing
- Strong experience in functional conjugated organic materials for optoelectronics a/o energy conversion.
- Strong background in advanced steady-state time resolved (polarized, low-temperature) absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy.
- Good knowledge in the use of density functional theory calculations of these materials.
- Availability to travel.
Working conditions:
- Contract duration: 2 years
