** How you will create an impact
*** Focused on
** Financial Lines business**, you will be responsible for a portfolio of complex claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, to timely and accurate resolution.
* Your goal will be timely, accurate and customer-focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense – you will actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ in claims handling.
* You will also contribute to continuous improvement in Claims by supporting Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes, ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure while communicating developments and outcomes as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders.
* Promote compliance with best practice for all aspects of claims assessment/handling and actively promote Claims Handling Values.
* Support the Financial Lines Claims Manager and claims team on an ongoing basis and work closely with underwriters providing feedback on claims issues, wording and market trends.
* Proactively identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims on a consistent basis in line with company' internal requirements.
* Strengthen good relationships with internal and external customers and drive excellent customer service.
** What you’ll need to succeed
*** Strong experience and knowledge as a specialist in
** Financial Lines
** technical claims topics
* Law degree preferred
* Fluent in English
* Advanced knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for
** Financial Lines**.
* Experienced in stakeholder management, both internal (underwriting, distribution, actuarial, finance and executive management) and external (brokers, major account clients)
* Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and ADR skills on higher value complex claims.
* Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
* A track record of following up effectively on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement.
* The ability to influence claims and non-claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy.
* The ability to assist with technical training to the team’s claim handlers as required.
* Attention to detail
* Good time management and prioritization skills.
