We are InShared: an online insurer that does everything just a little differently. We started as a disruptor in the Dutch insurance world. Now we are on our way to expanding internationally. We use smart technology to make our insurance services simple, fast and fair. Our goal is to build the best digital insurance product in the world.

Today, we are a team of 350 people, but soon we could be 500. To continue growing internationally, we are looking for entrepreneurial and energetic people who want to keep shaking up the insurance industry with us. What do we need? A resilient, self‑starting and experienced Claims Manager who will play a crucial role within the company when it comes to optimizing our claims handling across Spain.

As Claim Manager Spain at InShared, you will be part of a growing company with a start‑up character, where you will play a central role in ensuring consistent claims handling between InShared Netherlands and Spain. As an important member of our Claims & Services management team, you will be responsible for the content management of Spanish claims handling, which is carried out by our external partner DEKRA.

Your tasks will include:

  • You will be in daily operational contact with DEKRA, with the focus on building a relationship based on trust. You will be the primary contact person for questions and concerns. Together, you will monitor compliance with quality guidelines and carefully assess each claim to maintain our high standards.
  • You will optimize processes to improve claims handling and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You will develop and implement guidelines that are consistent with our Dutch processes.
  • You ensure transparency and fairness in claims processing.
  • You will decide on strategies for handling major claims and assess their financial impact in order to make informed decisions in line with our business objectives.
  • In addition, you are responsible for building up claims reserves, taking into account potential financial risks and obligations.
  • You will manage payment processes and approve payments to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial transactions. After all, we all benefit from this!

What you bring
  • At least 8 years of experience in claims handling in the Spanish insurance industry
  • Relevant insurance‑related studies or training in motor insurance and/or P&C insurance
  • In‑depth knowledge of Spanish law, especially in the insurance sector
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills in an international context
  • Willingness to travel regularly between the Netherlands and Spain
  • Very good Spanish and English skills (written and spoken)
What you can expect

A challenging job in a fast‑growing company with an attractive salary. You will work hybrid – partly from home and occasionally on site in the Netherlands in a cozy office in the middle of the forest with a restaurant (plus a sunny terrace in summer!) and free parking. You will be part of InShared's Claims team as well as the team focused on the Spanish market.
