What you will doThe Patient Advocacy Intern will support the Patient Advocacy team in advancing patient-focused initiatives that strengthen engagement with patient organizations, generate patient insights, and contribute to healthcare policy and access discussions. Responsibilities include supporting stakeholder engagement activities, coordinating projects, monitoring the healthcare environment, and developing materials and analyses to support internal and external initiatives. This role provides valuable exposure to the healthcare ecosystem and the strategic role of patient advocacy in improving outcomes for patients.
RequirementsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field. Strong interest in healthcare and in understanding the needs of patients across different therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Hematology, Neuroscience, and other disease areas. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple internal and external activities simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated empathy, a patient-centric mindset, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of patients and communities. Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment. Previous involvement in volunteering, social impact initiatives, community projects, or patient-focused activities is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
