Join LIEBHERR, a global leader in engineering and manufacturing, as we advance our digital transformation journey. We are looking for a motivated SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect – Sales & Distribution (m/f/d) to play a key role in our newly established SAP Center in Madrid.
In this role, you will own and shape the Sales and Distribution domain of Liebherr’s global S/4
HANA template for our Sales and Service companies (“Mixed Sales Companies”), supporting a multi-division environment spanning Aerospace, Construction Machinery, Appliances, and other industrial segments, as well as business models such as remanufacturing and limited manufacturing.
You will drive the design of standardized, scalable, and customer-centric solutions, promoting SAP best practices and Clean Core principles, while ensuring that harmonized and efficient end-to-end order-to-cash processes across entities. You will be part of an international, cross-functional team that values innovation, methodology and long-term thinking, making a direct impact on the way Liebherr runs its business worldwide.
Creating passion: your responsibilities- Own the end-to-end Sales & Distribution solution architecture within the global S/4
HANA template for Sales and Service companies, ensuring consistency, scalability and compliance. - Design and govern global template solutions across key Sales & Distribution areas such as:
Order-to-cash processes, Quotation and contract management, Pricing and discount structures, Billing and credit management, Returns and complaints processing, Intercompany sales scenarios, Export and trade compliance where relevant. - Translate complex business and statutory requirements from multiple countries and divisions into harmonized, standard SAP solutions minimizing custom development, driving process harmonization and simplification.
- Lead and facilitate global design workshops with sales, customer service, and local business stakeholders.
- Design and govern the integration of S/4
HANA SD with Finance (billing, revenue postings, credit), Service and after-sales processes, Procurement and logistics execution, Manufacturing and remanufacturing scenarios and CRM and Field Services processes in Microsoft Dynamics where financially relevant. - Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing expert guidance across all project phases:
Design, realization, testing, cutover, go-live and post go-live stabilization. - Contribute to change management activities, ensuring adoption of new processes and S/4
HANA solutions. - Support the creation of solution documentation leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Collaborate closely with an international, cross-functional team to deliver high quality, scalable solutions that support our global growth.
- Travel (up to 30%) to Liebherr sites worldwide to engage directly with business teams and support deployments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of SAP experience in Sales & Distribution, including significant exposure to SAP S/4
HANA SD. - Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead consultant in international SAP programs or template-based rollouts.
- Strong understanding of sales and order-to-cash processes in Sales and Service-oriented businesses, ideally in industrial or equipment related industries.
- Deep expertise in S/4
HANA Sales & Distribution capabilities, including Order-to-cash processes, advanced pricing and conditions, billing and revenue integration, credit management, intercompany sales and integration with logistics and service processes. - Experience designing global templates across multiple countries and legal entities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business challenges and translate them into SAP solutions that drive efficiency and value.
- Familiar with JIRA and Confluence (or similar tools) for task management and team collaboration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
