The Work You’ll Do

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will drive impactful sales initiatives for the market leader in cloud tax software, working with an international team to deliver essential solutions that keep businesses compliant globally. You will engage with executive-level clients, develop commercial strategies, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and expanding accounts. Your role is critical in enabling organizations to operate legally and efficiently across borders, ensuring they meet complex tax compliance requirements.

You will build lasting relationships, deliver consistent revenue growth, and provide valuable insights to inform strategic decisions. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for clients and contribute to Sovos’ continued success.

More Specifically, You Will
  • Generate new business opportunities and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to close, including up-sell and cross-sell
  • Develop and execute account-based commercial strategies to increase sales and retain customers
  • Build and nurture executive and C‑Suite relationships with clients
  • Deliver profitable new business revenue growth in your assigned territory, meeting and exceeding targets
  • Grow and manage a balanced pipeline to achieve consistent year-over-year performance
  • Utilize multiple sales approaches to manage complex sales into large enterprises
  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the tax compliance industry and competitive landscape
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to support management’s strategic decision-making
What We Need From You
  • 10+ years of proven success selling SaaS-based or software solutions to large multi‑national organizations, managing complex sales cycles
  • Strong targeting, prospecting, and closing skills with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue quotas
  • Ability to relate to and present effectively at the C‑Suite level
  • Highly analytical approach to defining client outcomes and articulating value
  • Skilled in using facts and data to drive sales narratives
  • Proven ability to create energy and focus within highly matrixed teams
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and sales team events (minimal to significant travel as required)
  • Successful completion of background check and drug test due to federal contracts
