Account Manager, Enterprise – MadridAs an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships by earning trust with our customers and providing impactful payments insights to help them grow. You will own the customer relationship and provide best‑in‑class service, identifying commercial opportunities and expanding product adoption.
What You’ll Do:- Build strong customer relationships and navigate their organizations to align the right external and internal stakeholders.
- Drive commercial discussions, meeting strategic and financial targets for assigned accounts.
- Act as the human dimension of Adyen’s product, delivering expertise, education, and payment guidance to customers, positioning Adyen as a trusted partner and using data to tell compelling stories.
- Prioritize and execute short‑ and long‑term projects with varying timelines across multiple accounts.
- Serve as the customer’s voice internally, providing a feedback loop to improve products and services.
- Enjoy engaging others and building strong working relationships at all levels of management.
- Passionate about leading strategic payments conversations, presenting business reviews, and coordinating high‑level technical discussions.
- Skilled in leveraging business acumen and analytical abilities to assess and help clients reach their goals.
- Comfortable synthesizing complex data sets and using data to tell a story.
- Excited to prioritize and manage multiple projects across different departments while motivating and collaborating with others to achieve results.
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in a client‑facing, commercial role (account management, consulting, or payments industry from a merchant side). Bonus for experience in complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services.
- Full professional written and verbal proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English (other languages are a plus).
- Experience in the retail industry, managing retail merchants, and part of a Unified Commerce Account Management team.
- Some domestic and international travel required.
This role is based out of our Madrid office. We have a hybrid workplace and value in‑person collaboration; remote‑only roles are not offered.
