Project Engineer | Industrial Projects

A leading company in the industrial construction sector is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale construction projects in data centers, vehicle manufacturing, and general building construction. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing on-site construction engineering activities, while providing technical support throughout project execution. The Project Engineer will assist with construction planning, design coordination, interpretation of design documents, constructability reviews, resolution of design conflicts, processing of shop drawings, requests for information, meeting minutes, material status reporting, and project engineering procedures.

Responsibilities

- Project Execution:
Ensures that project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements while supporting the overall construction schedule. Provides technical support for construction efforts, including planning, design coordination, interpretation of design documents, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing.
- Coordination and Administration:
Develops, implements, and administers project engineering procedures, work-control documents, material status reports, requests for information, meeting minutes, and other project documentation required to support construction execution.
- Team and Stakeholder Support:
Coordinates with project teams, subcontractors, on-site departments, clients, architects, engineers, and project management teams to resolve issues, support construction quality, and maintain alignment with project objectives and schedules.
- Technical Support:
Serves as a key technical resource on the project, supporting construction engineering processes, project documentation, procurement coordination, project controls reporting, and contract administration as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; or equivalent technical training and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of construction engineering or project engineering experience, preferably in data centers, vehicle manufacturing, industrial, or large-scale building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, construction methods, project documentation, and the interdependence between functional project teams.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Solid technical knowledge of construction and engineering processes, procurement coordination, project controls reporting, and contract administration.
- Ability to support budget tracking, financial forecasting, resource allocation, and project reporting activities.
- Experience identifying, assessing, documenting, and supporting mitigation of project risks and construction-related issues.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic project environments and adapt to changing construction requirements.
