Maintain inventory health by handling damaged, mis-shipped, slow-moving, or obsolete goods, and propose improvement plans. Ensure outbound shipments meet customer requirements for timing, packaging, labeling, and batch control to support JIT delivery.
Sales Collaboration & Customer Service – Act as the logistics point of contact, closely partnering with local sales teams to provide early feasibility assessments, lead-time, and cost commitments for orders and projects. Interface with end customers, synchronize logistics milestones, resolve delivery issues, and enhance customer experience. Local Resource & Supplier Management – Build and maintain a reliable local network of service providers (customs brokers, trucking fleets, warehouses, terminals, clearance agents, bonded warehouses). Have strong sourcing and price comparison skills. Stay updated on local port rules, customs policies, freight rates, road restrictions, holiday impacts, and other critical information.
Logistics Solution Design & Cost Control – Independently design tailor-made logistics solutions for key accounts or major projects, covering mode selection, route planning, warehousing/distribution strategy, risk contingencies, and cost estimation. Set regional logistics budgets, monitor port charges, clearance fees, transport costs, and warehouse expenses, and drive cost reduction and process optimization. Provide operational analysis and improvement reports to support headquarters’ decision-making.
Compliance, Risk & System Building – Ensure all operations comply with local customs, trade, foreign exchange, tax, safety, and other regulatory requirements. Establish regional SOPs, exception handling mechanisms, and contingency plans to enhance team standardization and resilience. Regularly report risk points, improvement measures, and execution results.
