About the Role

As a Junior Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting advanced analytical workflows for fragrance innovation. Your responsibilities will include accurate sample preparation, data integrity management, and assisting in the operation of sophisticated analytical instruments. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to grow within a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

Sample Handling & Preparation

- Accurately label, track, and document all samples to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and process fragrance samples from consumer products and raw materials following standardized protocols.

Analytical Support

- Assist in setting up and operating GC/MS instruments and other analytical equipment under supervision.
- Manage sample queues and robotic systems to support high-throughput workflows.

Data Creation & Quality Control

- Record and organize analytical data in compliance with established procedures.
- Perform basic data checks to ensure completeness and accuracy before submission to senior scientists.

Collaboration & Communication

- Work closely with senior scientists to align on priorities and timelines.
- Maintain clear communication regarding sample status and any issues encountered.

Lab Safety & Compliance

- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.

What We're Looking For

Education:

- B.S. in Chemistry or a related field (recent graduates welcome).

Technical

Skills:

- Familiarity with sample preparation techniques and basic analytical instrumentation.
- Understanding of lab safety and good documentation practices.

Soft Skills:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions precisely.

Preferred Experience:

- 1–3 years in a laboratory setting within fragrance, consumer goods, biotech, pharma, or related industries.
