Forvis Mazars is hiring an Accounting Services Manager

At Forvis Mazars Mexico, we are seeking a strategic, client-oriented  Accounting Services Manager  to join our growing  Accounting & Outsourcing Services (AOS)  practice in Querétaro.

This is a  newly created role in the region , designed for a professional who can strengthen our local presence, lead high-quality accounting and tax compliance services, and contribute to developing a scalable operation in one of Mexico’s most dynamic business hubs.

In this role, you will oversee accounting, tax, administrative, and financial reporting processes for assigned clients, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and strong client service. You will also play a key role in team leadership, process improvement, client management, and cross-functional coordination.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals who combine strong accounting and tax expertise with a business mindset, leadership capabilities, client relationship management, and a continuous improvement approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee accounting, tax, and administrative compliance processes for assigned clients.
Review and approve monthly internal controls, financial statements, and management reports.
Prepare, review, and deliver financial statements, special reports, and monthly reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with Mexican tax, social security, labor, and regulatory obligations, including federal taxes, local taxes, IMSS, Infonavit, ISN, SAT, PRODECON, and related authorities.
Review and approve monthly tax calculations, deferred tax, annual closing processes, annual tax returns, and supporting files.
Coordinate and follow up on tax authority requirements, invitation letters, in-depth reviews, tax mailbox notifications, and other compliance matters.
Oversee RNIE-related financial reporting and corporate documentation requirements.
Support and coordinate financial and tax audits, ensuring timely delivery of information and proper follow-up with clients and internal teams.
Manage client communications in English and Spanish, including meetings, calls, follow-ups, and business-oriented discussions.
Monitor team workload, time reporting, budgets, and profitability by client through systems such as Net Suite.
Prepare and review revenue and cost budgets for assigned clients and identify opportunities to optimize delivery times and operational efficiency.
Oversee billing, collection follow-up, contract validity, engagement letters, client acceptance and continuity processes, and assigned compliance controls.
Provide technical support to internal departments and act as a reference point for accounting, tax, and compliance matters.
Participate in strategic projects assigned by the board, including process optimization, implementation planning, and business growth initiatives.
Mentor and develop less experienced team members, supporting technical growth, service quality, and team performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7+ years of relevant experience in accounting, tax compliance, outsourcing services, audit, shared services, or professional services environments.
Strong technical knowledge of Mexican accounting, tax, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Experience reviewing financial statements, tax calculations, annual returns, deferred tax, audit requests, and compliance reports.
Knowledge of IFRS/NIIF, Mexican tax regulations, ISR, IVA, IMSS, Infonavit, and PLD is highly desirable.
Experience managing clients, teams, deadlines, and multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, time management, and results-oriented skills.
Advanced English proficiency is required.

Experience with Contpaqi, SAP, Net Suite, Microsoft Office, and financial reporting tools is desirable.
Ability to build strong client relationships and act as a trusted business advisor.
