Our client is seeking a visionary and strategic Arquitecto/a de Desarrollo y Planificación Urbana to play a key role in shaping the future growth and development of urban areas in Mexicali, Baja California. This position is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of urban systems, land use planning, and sustainable development practices. You will be involved in creating master plans, zoning strategies, and development guidelines that promote livable, functional, and resilient urban environments.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive urban plans, master plans, and land use strategies.
Analyze urban data, demographic trends, and environmental factors to inform planning decisions.
Collaborate with government agencies, developers, community groups, and other stakeholders to facilitate urban development projects.
Create zoning ordinances, design guidelines, and development review processes.
Assess the impact of development proposals on infrastructure, environment, and community.
Prepare reports, presentations, and visual materials to communicate planning recommendations.
Research and advocate for sustainable urban development practices and resilient design strategies.
Contribute to public engagement processes and community outreach initiatives. Requirements Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in urban planning, development, or design.
Proven experience in developing master plans, zoning regulations, and urban design guidelines.
Strong understanding of urban planning theories, sustainable development, and GIS applications.
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
