About the Opportunity   Are you an experienced higher education professional with a deep understanding of the U.S. higher education system?
Our client, a highly respected U.S. university, is seeking a   Senior Manager   to lead their Latin America Office based in Mexico City. In this independent and highly visible role, you will serve as the university’s primary representative in the region. You will be responsible for advancing institutional partnerships, supporting strategic international enrollment initiatives, and enhancing student engagement across Latin America.

This full-time position is based in Mexico City via contract with Safeguard Global, and includes regional and international travel).

What You Will Do
Institutional Partnerships:
Identify, develop, and manage relationships with universities, government bodies, and educational organizations to support academic collaborations (e.g., dual degree agreements, pathway partnerships, exchange programs).
Enrollment Strategy:
Engage prospective students, families, secondary schools, and counselors to support our client's international enrollment and expansion efforts.
Student Engagement:
Support enrollment yield through sustained engagement with admitted students, facilitating pre-arrival advising, and organizing events that help students successfully transition to the university.
Brand Promotion:
Conduct targeted visits to secondary schools and universities, and represent our client at select college fairs, conferences, and industry events to increase brand visibility.
Alumni Relations:
Serve as the main point of contact for university alumni in the region, organizing events and identifying opportunities for alumni engagement in recruitment activities.
Operations & Outreach:
Utilize lead-management systems (such as Salesforce) to maintain lead flow and strategize outreach, while overseeing office and project management with minimal day-to-day supervision.

What We Are Looking For

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree in a relevant field strongly preferred.

Experience:

Six (6) years of experience in higher education admissions, international recruitment, or university partnership development.
Direct University Background:
Demonstrated experience working directly with an accredited college/university—  not exclusively through third-party recruitment agencies   .
Autonomy:
At least one (1) year of office management experience, with a proven ability to manage relationships, events, and communications independently.
Ideal Candidate:
Brings 4 years of academic and administrative experience in traditional university settings (preferably in the U.S. or Mexico), and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
