Financial Controller LATAM

Location: San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán

This position will lead the finance function of Latam as it is part of the Global Accounting & Control organization, and the position responsibilities include:

- Manage and lead the Accounting and Controlling function, including the implementation of consistent and effective business processes that enhance the Share Service Centers
- Provide primary coordination for activities and alignment between Finance, Accounting and Controllership, Tax, Treasury, SSC, AP, AR and other areas
- Provide financial support to the Business Finance and OPS Finance through advices and timely accurate reporting,
- Lead and manage all aspects associated with Accounting, Auditing and Controllership management compliance with related policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory and tax requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures.
- Lead the Balance Sheet and P&L reviews been owner of all processes, responding for variances and mitigating risks when they are identified.
- Maintain an appropriate internal control environment and Lead the SOX controls ensuring that everything is working according to policies and procedures.
- Team development prepare a succession plan

SCOPE

- Management of general accounting processes including historical financial reporting
- Manage the internal control environment including SOX compliance as well as point of contact for internal and external audits.
- Coordinate with Tax Team the fiscal and taxes audits.
- Manage treasury including bank relationships in accordance with global policies and guidelines.
- Provide support for general legal, administrative, and statutory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

- Certified Public accountant
- 7-10 years’ experience leading finance functions
- Over 5 years experience handling Accounting in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Chile
- Strong knowledge of Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Chile´s fiscal books and tax reporting requirements including the TAX OPINION, Data Stage and others.
- Experience handling SOX requirements.
- Experience in working with SAP and/or another ERP system
- Need to be hands on and if necessary, go into details until we understand what is happening.
- Familiarity with a shared service environment is a plus.
