Strategy & Planning Manager

Location: San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán

Purpose of the Job  The Sourcing Manager will direct purchase planning for multiple jobs, either project- or account-based. This person will work directly with Business Development, VP of Implementation, external agencies, and suppliers to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that ensures high quality and competitive pricing

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and develop a high volume of solution proposals for multiple projects
Perform procurement and project management for projects, with an understanding of the client’s objectives
Manage communication channels to ensure smooth workflow
Oversee specifications for the account to ensure all client requirements, quality expectation, availability, and delivery dates are clear
Supervise requests for bid specifications and sending bids to selected vendors
Ensure that savings targets are being hit
Investigate potential suppliers and make recommendations based on manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and schedule availability
Assign and prioritize projects, set goals and timelines, and communicate progress to internal management
Handle disputes with suppliers and partner with our Supplier Relations team
Manage ongoing reviews of existing accounts to identify improvement opportunities
Partner with the VP of Implementation to understand the ongoing priorities of the department

Knowledge, Skills + Experience
~7+ years of sourcing and purchasing experience, either in the commercial print industry or with promotional projects and materials
~ Strong leadership and direct client interfacing experience
~ Strong experience negotiating job costs and schedules with suppliers
~ Independent thinking, strong organization, and planning abilities
~ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
~ Proven project management experience
~ Excellent communication and presentation skills
~ Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially with Excel
~ Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
~ Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments
