Salary: USD $250,000 - USD $350,000 per year + generous bonus + benefits
A leading luxury real estate and hospitality developer is seeking an accomplished Vice President / SVP of Development to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of one of Mexico’s premier resort and residential destinations. Their developments span the whole of Mexico, but this role is based in their HQ in Mexico City.
You will play a central leadership role across a number of large-scale luxury master-planned communities - comprising luxury hospitality, branded residences, private club amenities, golf, and high-end residential development.
You will be a key liaison between ownership, consultants, operators, and project teams, the Vice President will be responsible for driving development strategy and execution across multiple concurrent projects and development phases.
The position will be based primarily in Mexico City, with regular travel to project sites across their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination and execution of multiple developments across a luxury resort and residential portfolio.
From the corporate office, you will oversee project planning, design development, permitting, budgeting, procurement, and construction activities.
Manage external consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and specialist advisors.
Drive collaboration between development, design, construction, finance, sales, hospitality, and operations teams.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and key performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.
Provide strategic reporting and recommendations to executive leadership and ownership.
Identify and mitigate development risks while maintaining project quality and commercial objectives.
Foster productive relationships with government authorities, hospitality operators, consultants, and business partners.
Qualifications &
Experience:
12+ years of development experience within luxury master-planned communities, or luxury real estate & hospitality.
Proven track record delivering complex, multi-phase developments with substantial capital budgets.
Experience overseeing luxury resorts, branded residences, private clubs, golf communities, or destination developments is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of development processes including design management, permitting, budgeting, procurement, and construction.
Bilingual English and Spanish language skills are preferred.
