Product Engineer

Location: Ciudad Acuña

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for leading and supporting the design, development, testing, and release of complex technical solutions. The position works across multiple engineering and business disciplines to define requirements, develop system concepts, validate performance, and ensure successful implementation. It involves coordinating technical activities, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, reliable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support engineering activities for complex system features within a collaborative, iterative development environment.
Develop system-level designs, requirements, and interface definitions to support integration across multiple components and subsystems.
Gather and translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for new product opportunities.
Support model-based development, including prototyping, simulation, and validation activities across bench and laboratory testing environments.
Develop and execute technical validation plans using analysis, simulation tools, and structured test activities.
Manage product release documentation through established lifecycle management processes and tools.
Support application and integration of next-generation components and system enhancements.
Prepare technical documentation – including test reports, installation/support information, and other customer-facing materials.
Conduct benchmarking activities to evaluate comparable technologies in the market.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to communicate project status and resolve technical issues.
Participate in testing activities at proving grounds, customer sites, or environmental locations as needed.

Technical Background
6+ years of engineering experience in systems engineering, controls, product development, or related technical domains.
Broad understanding of complex mechanical, electrical, or integrated systems
Knowledge of system-level engineering concepts, communication interfaces, and embedded system interactions.
Familiarity with simulation, modeling, or data analysis tools used in system development.
Understanding of quality, safety, and validation frameworks commonly applied in engineered product development.
Familiarity with simulation, modeling, or analysis tools used in engineering development.
Hands-on experience working with mechanical, electrical, or integrated systems.
Experience in technology-driven, manufacturing, or engineered-product environments is a plus.
Proven background in design, development, and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced settings.
Ability to work effectively with diverse, global engineering teams.
Willingness and ability to obtain any required operational certifications relevant to testing or field activities.

Experience with continuous improvement, structured problem-solving, or similar methodologies is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data quickly and accurately.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly to various audiences.
Ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Systems, or related).
Travel
Up to 40% travel may be required for testing, collaboration, or other field-based activities.
