Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for establishing and implementing the most cost-efficient methods for production while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and cost standards. This role plans and coordinates activities necessary to produce specified products, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures schedule adherence. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing processes, project management, and change administration within a plant environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Develop and update process documentation and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct direct labor studies using engineering best practices; establish standards for operations, setups, and workstation layouts.
Define and coordinate tooling and fixturing requirements; collaborate with tool designers for procurement and implementation.
Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods and standards; provide solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Identify areas of unnecessary cost and implement cost-reduction initiatives, work cell development, and material flow improvements.
Assist in development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and review preliminary designs to optimize cost and quality.
Prepare detailed capital equipment studies and make recommendations for capital expenditures.
Support departmental budgeting, including material, manpower, equipment, and procurement costs.
Review and evaluate make vs. buy decisions and support new product development.
Manage production and assembly change administration and ensure smooth implementation.
Process purchase requisitions and maintain accurate records.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (PCI) and complete company-provided training.
Perform special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering.
MBA or Project Management Certification (PMP) desirable.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering, with prior experience as a Process Engineer or similar.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and change management.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD software, and plyometrics tools.
Advanced skills in MS Office, Excel, and MS Project.
Understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality standards.
Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with U.S.

-based customers and internal stakeholders.
Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with e-learning systems and training development (a plus).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Fluent English
