Sr. Mechanical Designer

SEGULA Technologies is looking for Senior Mechanical Designers to lead the complete design of robotic cells for manufacturing lines. This role ensures robust, safe, and optimized solutions in terms of manufacturability, ergonomics, operation, and cost, serving as the technical reference for design, analysis, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop fully integrated robotic cells using Solid Works and CATIA (layouts, tooling, fixtures, structures, automated and manual stations).
Create and review 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings with proper application of GD&T .
Perform structural and modal analysis ( FEM/FEA ).
Select materials, mechanical components, pneumatic equipment, and commercial elements.
Define and review interfaces according to NAAMS standards.
Generate BOMs , technical specifications, and complete project documentation.
Conduct robotic studies: reach analysis, singularities, loads, cycle time, and interference analysis.
Lead the complete mechanical design of the project, delegate tasks, and review work from Junior and Intermediate designers.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and testing ( FAT/SAT ).
Maintain direct communication with customers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Technical Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience:
5+ years designing robotic cells, tooling, fixtures, or special-purpose machinery for the automotive or metal-mechanical industry.
Advanced proficiency in Solid Works and CATIA V5/V6 .
Strong experience in FEM/FEA and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) .
Knowledge of NAAMS standards.
Fluent English (spoken and written).
Preferred: experience with Robot Studio .
