This Position reports to:
Sales Support Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.

The work model for the role is:  #L-onsite

This role is contributing to the  ELDS Post-Sales Projects for the existing ABB installed Base  in  USA, CA & SAM Markets . Main stakeholders are  Utilities, Industrial, Infrastructure, Data Centers, etc.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.
Creating well-documented tenders in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
Managing the preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
Ensuring that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.

Qualifications for the role

Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering or related field with strong electrical knowledge.
Experience in electrical proposals and familiarity with ANSI/IEC Low and Medium Voltage Switchgears and Motor Control Centers (including OEM and GIS).
Background in packaging, electrical services, bus duct systems, electrification, and power distribution.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint; knowledge of Macros, Java, Power Apps, etc., is a plus.
Minimum 70% English proficiency with conversational skills.
Clear communication, positive attitude, ability to work under pressure, self-management, and willingness to self-learn.
Focus on continuous improvement, intercultural sensitivity, and active teamwork.

This position is part of the proposals team within the technical and commercial solutions department for low and medium voltage switchboards and motor control centers. The main objective is to develop comprehensive proposals that meet customer requirements while aligning with ABB’s technical and commercial standards.

San Luis Potosí, Mexico
The role is based at our San Luis Potosí facility, working closely with both local and global teams.
