Structural Engineering Designer

Structural Engineering Designer   Job Functions
Coordinate the development of civil-structural projects according to technical and regulatory requirements.
Supervise the civil-structural designs performed by consultants or internal staff.
Validate calculations and prepare technical reports and civil-structural drawings.
Ensure proper integration of the structure with other project disciplines.
Coordinate technical reviews and feedback with the design and construction teams.
Conduct interdisciplinary reviews to prevent interferences.
Manage deliverables on time and in accordance with the project schedule.
Provide technical support during the construction phase.
Validate value proposals or structural changes.
Supervise compliance with local and international standards (NTC, ACI, etc.).
Coordinate with geotechnical specialists to ensure project stability.
Generate technical progress reports and structural validations.
Participate in design and engineering coordination meetings.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of structural suppliers.
Propose technical solutions to construction conflicts.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A master’s degree or additional certifications in structural engineering or related fields is preferred.
Professional

Experience:

Proven experience in the design, coordination, and supervision of civil-structural projects. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing consultants or internal staff is highly desirable.
Technical

Skills:

Strong knowledge of civil-structural design, analysis, and calculations.
Proficiency in preparing technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
Familiarity with local and international civil-structural standards (e.g., NTC, ACI).

Experience with relevant engineering software and tools for modeling and analysis.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Understanding of technical and regulatory requirements applicable to civil-structural projects, including legal and environmental standards.

Project Management:
Ability to coordinate deliverables, manage schedules, and oversee technical reviews with design and construction teams.
