Plant Manager

With an executive leadership team committed to developing our talent pipeline and aligning our people mission with our corporate mission, the division needs a detail-oriented, commercial savvy and operationally focused collaborator to contribute to the GLOBAL growth of the business.

Responsable of developing the strategy to achieve the plants annual operating budget including preparation and presentation to executive management. Additionally you will write capital authorization applications, (CAA’s), for capital expenditures as needed for value generating and/or value maintaining projects. Another key piece of this role will be continuously improving production/plant operations and ensures there is an ongoing program to control and reduce cost, improve quality and operating efficiency, as well as promoting a culture in which production and maintenance work together to solve issues that may impact productivity, safety or quality.
The plant manager will be responsible for promoting and supporting a maintenance process is key as well as leading a comprehensive safety education and training process.

The Plant manager sets the expectation that quality is more important than production so that the product is made to high quality standards the first time without creating the need for rework.

This role also has some commercial elements, where you will partner with the division commercial team or engineering on new product costing and business growth opportunities by efficiently providing accurate manufacturing assumption information. Building local contacts in the community and region will also be a necessity. Internally this role will provide an environment that is conducive to excellence and professionalism; and Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, 10+ years of practical and relevant experience within Manufacturing or Engineering Management is required. Also having experience in leading team is required. You must also enjoy a fast pace environment, and have experience in problem solving and quick execution.
Experience in process improvement initiatives such as 5S with safety, Six Sigma, Kaizen events and lean manufacturing and having or working towards certification in Project Management Methodology is strongly preferred.
