About the Role
The Solution Engineer acts as the technical bridge between Sales, Engineering, and the customer. The role exists to interpret complex customer requirements and transform them into feasible, cost-effective automated warehouse solutions. By providing technical expertise on Mushiny’s product offerings, this position ensures that proposed systems are architecturally sound and optimized for the customer’s specific logistics application.

The Solution Engineer acts as the technical bridge between Sales, Engineering, and the customer. The role exists to interpret complex customer requirements and transform them into feasible, cost-effective automated warehouse solutions.

Responsibilities

Solution Design & Concepting:
What:
Interprets customer requirements to develop derived system solutions.
How:
By collaborating with Sales and Engineering to determine feasibility and leveraging AutoCAD for design.
Why:
To ensure Mushiny provides a technically viable and optimized solution that meets the client's needs.
Technical Sales Support:
What:
Provides expertise regarding product offerings and capabilities.
How:
By attending customer meetings, making technical presentations, and traveling to sites for application research.
Why:
To build customer trust and ensure the proposed solution is grounded in real-world application data.
Proposal & Cost Management:
What:
Prepares and reviews cost estimates and technical proposal details.
How:
By analyzing technical specifications and project requirements.
Why:
To guarantee the financial and technical accuracy of communications sent to the customer.
Product Alignment:
What:
Identifies and communicates product development priorities.
How:
By synthesizing customer feedback and technical gaps identified during the sales process.
Why:
To align Mushiny’s innovation roadmap with actual market demands and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Years of

Experience:

2–5 years of general engineering experience, with at least 3 years specifically in material handling equipment systems.
Area of Expertise:
Logistics applications (3–5 years), automation integration, and warehouse optimization.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Languages:

Advanced Spanish and English (Required). Portuguese or Chinese Mandarin is a plus.

Required Skills

Technical Knowledge:
Design Tools:
High proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel).
Data Analysis:
Strong ability to perform data analysis to drive solution design, including throughput calculations, inventory profiling, and performance modeling.
Supply Chain & E-commerce:
Deep knowledge of supply chain logistics and e-commerce operations, including order fulfillment strategies and seasonal peak management.
System Architecture:
Architectural knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and software products related to automation.
Automation Expertise:
Strong experience in Material Handling Automation, preferably with sorters, conveyors, and integrated system design.
Software Systems:
Deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse operation optimization.
Business Acumen:
Solution Value:
Ability to derive solutions that leverage existing products while meeting unique customer requirements to drive sales.
Financial Accuracy:
Expertise in preparing and reviewing cost estimates to ensure competitive yet profitable bidding.
Market Insight:
Identifies product development priorities based on customer feedback and communicates them to the organization to guide future innovation.
People Management

Skills:

Interpersonal Influence:
Ability to work in partnership with customers and internal Sales teams to reach a consensus on solution concepts.
Communication & Presentation:
Advanced skills in presenting technical details to stakeholders and supporting Sales in high-level customer meetings.

Collaboration:

Proven ability to act as a liaison between the technical (Engineering) and commercial (Sales) branches of the company.
